LET THE BIDDING BEGIN!
Making Music Happen!
Last year, through our Performance Outreach Department, NEC students performed for more than 15,000 people in over 150 venues, including hospitals, nursing homes, inner-city schools, libraries, and other places where people do not ordinarily get to hear live music.
Bidding in the Feast of Music auction ensures that these phenomenal experiences continue well into the future.
Welcome to New England Conservatory’s “A Feast of Music” online auction. Here you will find once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to bid on exciting getaways and inspiring experiences, including ownership of a wine vineyard in France. Best of all, winning bids directly support New England Conservatory’s General Scholarship Fund, which helps make an NEC education possible for every deserving student.
Monies generated will help ensure that these gifted young people can have access to NEC's world-renowned faculty and curriculum, irrespective of their financial means. And it means NEC's impact on music - here in Boston and throughout the world - will only continue to grow.
Why we host A Feast of Music:
- To raise money for NEC's General Scholarship Fund.
- To raise 15% of NEC's Annual Fund goal. The Annual Fund is the lifeblood of the Conservatory and helps pay for everything from scholarships and free concerts to general maintenance.
- Thanks in large part to this event, 86% of NEC's student body receives some form of scholarship award.

The Boston Herald has called it one of Boston´s "Top 10" parties. But the music patrons who attend
A Feast of Music know that it´s more than just a chance to get dressed up. This elegant evening brings together 350 of Boston’s most prominent business leaders and cultural philanthropists to benefit the New England Conservatory General Scholarship Fund.
Now in its 10th year, A Feast of Music is one of the season’s most anticipated evenings, pairing sumptuous food and wine with superb performances of jazz, opera and classical music. Since in 1997,
A Feast of Music has raised more than $2 million to help make an NEC education possible for every deserving student.
On this very special night we will also be honoring NEC's late president, Daniel Steiner, who transformed the school into a world class institution. NEC's first non-musician president, Daniel had previously served as general counsel of Harvard.
